3. Ensure lamp is filled with good quality Paraffin, BS 2869 C1 Odure free is best.
4. Turn the wick up to about 1/8 of an inch above the outer tube, it should show about 5 rows of holes in the flame spreader.
5. Light the wick and when the flame is a complete circle, replace the complete gallery assembly and lock by turning clock-wise.
6. Turn the wick up slowly until the mantle glows white, allow 3-4 mins for the burner to heat to working temperature, then adjust the wick so that the mantle burns white, if there are black areas on the mantle then the flame is too high, there will be a small dead area around the bottom of the mantle this is normal
To Extinguish
Turn down wick and gently blow across the top of the chimney, turn the wick up again to make sure the flame has gone out.
Do not leave the lamp on a low or yellow flame it will cause the lamp to overheat.
Remember that the lamp will produce heat watch out for overhead objects
Keep your lamp clean and maintained using Aladdin parts.
Do not allow your lamp to burn dry it makes the wick uneven and reduces life
Soak a new wick in clean Paraffin before first burn at least 1/2 hour
Allow for Ventilation it burns Oxygen and produces CO2
